2009 Season - Week 20

BUMSBowl XIV

Having been down by a point at half-time Johnnie continued his quest for the first ever BUMS treble by outscoring Wayne 21-9 in the NFC game. Cheryl got out to a fast start 11-0 at half-time and led 20-6 before AP’s comeback fell just 4 points short. It’s Johnnie’s first visit to the show after 5 Championship defeats, while Cheryl is 1-1 in the big game winning BUMSBowl X 16-15 over John after losing to Chief 25-1 in BUMSBowl V. Cheryl is 3-0 head-to-head against Johnnie including two of those Championship games. All-BUMS Voting Don’t forget to vote for your favourite players of 2009. Remember I need (in order) your top 3 Running Backs and top 3 Receivers plus your number 1 & 2 Quarterbacks, Kickers and Coaches. Vote for your players based on BUMS points, how much you enjoy them, what they meant to their BUMS roster/NFL team or just the fact they were on your roster. The deadline is Thursday February 4th so get your votes in as soon as possible. It Could Have Been So Different Well different for one owner. Even without any trading days Johnnie would’ve been the Champion; George, Cheryl and Craig would have been promoted and John and Dave G would’ve been relegated. Wayne would’ve been the third owner relegated but Mark’s disasterous trades resulted in him not finishing fifth but tenth after his minus 86 point trade deficit. Instead of finishing second Chief would’ve been fourth but he improved by a massive 114 points (it helps when you replace Leftwich with Favre). Trades benefited 10 other owners including Johnnie (+74), Marcus (+72), Craig(+54) and Cheryl and David S with plus 46 points each. Without trades the tables would have looked like this: PREMIERSHIP actual finish CONFERENCE actual finish 1 Johnnie 510 1 1 George 463 3 2 Andy H 490 3 2 Cheryl 451 1 3 Daz 440 5 3 Craig 420 2 4 Chief 437 2 --------------------------------- 5 Mark 435 10 4 Ron 385 4 6 Aaron 423 8 5 David S 291 5 7 Marcus 421 4 8 AP 396 6 ---------------------------------- 9 Wayne 376 7 10 Dave G 346 9 11 John 345 11 BUMS on ProBowl and Superbowl Seats The ProBowl is played this Sunday (a week before the Superbowl) and we will be meeting at HQ on Monday from 6:30pm to see it.
